Your role
The Business Analyst, Product is responsible for working with the product development team to identify and analyze business requirements, evaluate options for meeting those requirements, and make recommendations for implementing solutions. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, including business owners, project managers, and technical teams, to ensure the successful delivery of product initiatives
What you’ll do
- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications for product development teams.
- Analyze and evaluate business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations for new product features or enhancements.
- Work with product development teams to develop product roadmaps, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams and provide guidance to ensure the successful delivery of product initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and decision-making.
- Monitor product progress and resolve any issues or roadblocks that arise.
- Conduct business and financial analysis to support decision-making and evaluate the financial impact of product initiatives.
- Communicate product status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and make recommendations for resolution.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and developments and apply that knowledge to make recommendations for new product initiatives
Your experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, working on product development initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and evaluate options and make recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of product development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall Experience with market research and competitor analysis.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
